Joy

Hello to all of you who are reading this. I have not had much opportunity to blog in a good while. I hope everyone is doing well and finding what you need in life. One thing that came to mind today was joy. The difficulty of finding joy is sometimes frustrating. I know we are taught that walking with the Lord is joy 24/7 but the truth is, it is not always joy. There are hardships, challenges, storms, etc., that come to our lives. Joy disappears suddenly and does not reappear for awhile.

I just want to give a word of hope if you are having trouble finding joy in your daily lives. Don’t give up. Storms do not last forever. However, we need storms. We need rain. We need the refreshing cooler breeze from that storm. We need the shade from the clouds rolling in with those storms. There is always something wonderful that comes from a storm. Remember to look at the entire picture and not focus on just one spot.

The Word of God says there may be some pain in the night but joy comes in the morning. So, expect that joy to come in the morning. Keep your eye on the prize and keep moving. Don’t stop. Never stop.

With that being said, I am not stopping either. I am working on a new CD with new music and strong and encouraging messages in my songs. I can’t wait to finish it and let everyone hear the songs. I know the Lord always has something to say to all of us through the lyrics of songs He inspires me to write. The messages apply to me first. I have always believed that. I hope to get that music out as quickly as possible and pray that it will bless everyone who hears it.

Lastly, remember who God is to you. If you say you serve Him, do so diligently and faithfully. If you have left God behind because you like the freedom this world gives you to do “whatever you want”…remember, He is still God. His ways are still the ways He expects us to follow. He will not force anyone to do what’s right. However, He still is who He has always been, a Holy and Reverent God. Remain faithful and if you left Him behind, reconsider returning to Him. That is my best advice to you today. God bless you and have a lovely day. I will be back soon.
