A New Year
Well, looks like we survived 2020 and that was certainly a lot to survive. Many people, however, lost loved ones, friends and acquaintances to Covid. It has been a very hard and long desperate year. Although this is now a new year, we are still fighting against this horrible virus. It is still taking the weaker and most vulnerable and it breaks my heart. (I know what I’m talking about because I work in a very large emergency room).
These are the times when we tend to ask and question God and we have a hard time understanding the why’s of it all. We will probably never know why these things happen. Pandemics, although rare, do happen. We humans always want to blame someone when in all reality, a virus can arise anywhere and anytime and catch everyone off guard. If we are careless, the spread can be overwhelming and hard to contain.
This is where I want to encourage you to stay strong in your faith in God. Seek Him. Let Him be your safe place. Use your prayers to intervene for your loved ones, friends, acquaintances, and anyone you know of that might be struggling with this virus. Be of encouragement to one another. If you know of someone struggling to pay a utility bill or put gas in their car or food on the table, do not hesitate to help them if you can. I always tell my children, we are blessed so that we can bless others. We are not blessed to hoard it all. I repeat. We are blessed to bless others. We are not blessed to hoard it all.
I hope and pray for blessings and healing for every single one of you reading this. I pray the Lord pours His love, mercy, strength and healing over every single one of you. I pray you will pay it forward in prayer and sharing of your blessings. I pray that this year is better than ever for all of us.
I will continue to write music through my songs, lyrics, stories and praises to God. I will continue to sing to Him come what may. I already know the devil doesn’t like me because he likes to try and trip me up. He has been trying to trip me up since I wrote my very first song when I was 15 years old. He still has not been able to shut me up. Poor ole devil. Greater is He that is in me than he that is in the world!
May God bless you all! Keep pressing forward!
