Yesterday…
Yesterday was Sunday the 10th of January 2021 and it was probably the most joyful day we have all had, as a people, in a very long time. A beautiful, pure, white blanket of snow fell over our city and surrounding counties. It literally snowed huge snowflakes all day long. It was beautiful. Everyone either built snowmen, had snowball fights, or just took pictures and videos of it all. You could feel the joy. After a long year of sadness and heartache from this virus, it was refreshing to see people enjoying a childlike atmosphere., laughing, giggling, smiling.
I really needed this too. As I start my next semester in nursing school, I will need all the joy I can get.
Today, Monday the 11th, begins this semester and I know I must rely on discipline, endurance, inner strength, motivation and perseverance. However, above all, I must rely on God. It’s only through His power that I can be successful. It’s always been that way in my life with God.
We can do so much more than we think we can. We just need a little shove in the right direction and strength from God. Never give up. Never give in. Never look back at what was or could have been. Look straight ahead and keep moving forward. Let’s expect great things this year and let’s go out and get them. Make it happen.
